The new Redmi A2 series first appears in certification lists on the Indonesian TKDN and BIS websites, as first reported by tipster Mukul Sharma. In their databases, they did not find anything notable, although they did note Xiaomi’s plan to introduce devices soon. Before April, A2 and A2 Plus should become official.
There isn’t much information available about the lineup’s specs because BIS and TKDN are the only reports of it so far. Given that they are from an entry-level budget catalog, the pair’s specs shouldn’t be all that different from those of their predecessors.
Recall that the Redmi A1 Plus is equipped with a 6.52-inch IPS HD+ screen and MediaTek’s Helio A22 SoC. A 5000mAh cell and a 10W charging speed power a 3GB + 32GB memory board located inside. It has a 5MP selfie camera on the forehead and an 8 + 0.08MP configuration on the rear. On the back of this most recent Xiaomi phone is a fingerprint reader.

The standard Redmi A1 has a nearly identical feature set, except it is missing a fingerprint reader that is positioned on the rear. Both models have 3.5mm audio connectors, leatherbacks, micro USB connections, and 192-gram frames. Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus and A1 are available in Light Green, Light Blue, and Black color schemes and run Android 12 Lite “Go edition” software. The A2 and A2 Plus descendants expand upon these specifications and most likely will enhance costs and specifications.
