The Mi 11 Lite 5G replacement, the Xiaomi 12 Lite, has, at last, arrived in Southeast Asia. The flagship Mi phones, in this case, the Mi 12 Pro and Mi 12, are the source of the Lite models. This smartphone unquestionably belongs to the upper mid-range category. Only two significant Southeast Asian markets are now included in Xiaomi’s planned launch sequence, but more will be added soon.

In Malaysia and the Philippines, the Xiaomi 12’s most recent midrange “light” edition is now available. The remaining Asian regions should be its next stop, based on market trends and previous launch cycles. Let’s examine what the Mi 12 Lite has to offer.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite sports a frosted matte texture and a boxy appearance with flat rims for the edges. Three lenses protrude from a box-shaped camera bump on the back panel. Overall, the Mi 11 Lite from last year has a drastically different, curved-stylized look.
Turning the phone over reveals an odd flat surface screen up front; the bezels are incredibly small and contain an earpiece. Corner-to-corner 6.55-inch AMOLED panel running at 240Hz touch sampling and 120Hz screen refresh. The new Xiaomi light smartphone has a top-center dead pixel hole punched out for the installation of the front camera.

On the Mi 12 Lite, the selfie camera has a 32MP sensor, while the rear camera sports a mind-blowing 108MP lens. Under the primary shooter, a pair of support lenses (8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro) is docked.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite’s base model has a 6+128GB storage capacity, however, you may upgrade for an 8+128GB and 8+256GB storage RAM combination by paying more. A Snapdragon 778G CPU, a 4300mAh battery, and an additional 67W charging capability are included inside the Mi 12 Lite. Homescreen is an MIUI skin built on top of Android 12. It comes in light green, light pink, and black hues. The least expensive option costs 374 USD or 80,000 PKR.
