Before the end of December, Xiaomi will release the Xiaomi 12 series, which will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. One early teaser has already been released. Xiaomi is currently working on finalizing product certifications. In what should be the final wave of public listings and certifications, the Xiaomi 12 series was highlighted.

Two Chinese regulatory authorities, TENNA and 3C, approved the lineup. 2201123C, 2201122C, and 2112123AC are the model numbers for three Xiaomi 12 models. Xiaomi, according to WHY Labs, a Chinese phone leaker, is changing up the naming strategy this year.
Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X are the model numbers, accordingly. Xiaomi may release a Lite version of the series in the future.
The new Xiaomi 12X smartphone appears to be the least expensive of the three. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, which is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865+. Xiaomi’s Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are truly flagships, powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

In a similar line, the Xiaomi 12X’s charging power peaks at 67W. The Xiaomi 12 has, however, been certified to allow lightning-quick 120W charging. The ‘Ultra’ variant, which was the star of last year’s Mi flagship series, has yet to be announced. It’ll either be released next year or the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be renamed the Ultra due to the new naming scheme.
