Vivo Y15s Quietly Launched in Pakistan with Entry-level Specs and a Budget-friendly Price

Since the year 2022 began, Vivo has been constantly releasing new Y-series phones. They range from low-cost 5G phones to entry-level phones like the Vivo Y21. The Y15s, an entry-level phone, discreetly arrived in Pakistan today. There were no announcements from Vivo. However, the phone is already available in retailers across the country.

Because it’s a low-cost device, the features and performance aren’t really impressive. However, the Vivo Y15s has most of the features you’d expect from a modern low-cost phone. The Vivo Y15s has a 5000 mAh battery that lasts all day. Although it does not enable rapid charging, the phone can be used to recharge other devices.

Vivo Y15s Specs and a Budget-friendly Price

Everything is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35, a low-cost chip released in 2018. Not only will it soon show its age, but the 32GB storage capacity also feels out of date in 2022. Multitasking is limited to 3GB of memory. The phone is powered by Funtouch OS x Android 11 Go Edition. Android Go is a stripped-down version of Android that is designed to run on older, low-performance hardware.

The display is an ordinary 6.51″ IPS LCD with a maximum resolution of 720P. The Vivo Y15s, on the other hand, offers a specific Eye Protection Mode. In addition, the front camera is housed in a notch that bleeds into the screen.

Vivo’s new cheap model is extremely light, weighing only 179g. It’s made of plastic, naturally, and has a pinstripe texture on the reverse. On the frame, we find a sleek power button that also serves as a quick thumbprint scanner. A hybrid triple-slot also enables storage expansion of up to 1 TB. The Vivo Y15s are available in two colors: Wave Green and Mystic Blue.

Finally, a dual-camera system is integrated into a raised square on the back. Its 2MP macro and 13MP f/2.2 primary shooters are also nothing to write home about. However, Vivo has equipped the Y15s with enough shooting options to make the most of this camera. In Pakistan, it is presently available for PKR 23,999.
