Third-party app icons don’t appear on Apple Watch Series 7

The first Apple Watch Series 7 pieces have already been delivered, and there looks to be a problem right away. Third-party apps, according to some users, do not appear with their icons and are instead invisible on the home screen.

A developer working on Apple’s ecosystem goods was the first to notice it. He notes that while the icons appear in the Xcode simulator, they do not appear on the actual watch. Some speculate that this is due to the new screen size and resolution, yet the icons on previous watches, even while running watchOS 8, are perfectly acceptable.

Switching the home screen’s view to “List” is a temporary fix. Keep in mind that the icons will still be absent, but you’ll be able to tell which program is which because the list view also shows the names.
