The Camon 18 Premier features a 6.7″ FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of up to 550 nits. The panel has a punch hole in the center for the 32MP selfie camera, but no fingerprint reader is hidden beneath.
Instead, the scanner is embedded in the power button on the phone’s right-side frame, which isn’t surprising given that we’ve seen quite a few phones with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner despite having an AMOLED display.
On the other side, three cameras and an LED flash are housed within a rectangular island. The camera system includes a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens.
The Helio G96 SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is expandable via a microSD card. On the software front, we get Android 11 on top of Tecno’s HiOS 8.0.
The Tecno Camon 18 Premier is powered by a 4,750 mAh battery that can draw up to 33W of power from a USB-C port. The smartphone also includes an NFC chip and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
