Customers who sign up for Oppo’s beta testing program will receive an early release of ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 12. However, the ColorOS 12 x Android 12 beta project is only available on four Oppo phones and in three countries: India, China, and Pakistan.

Through an official post on their community forums, Oppo announced the launch of the ColorOS 12 Open Beta. Oppo will only accept 8000 people in the initial round of beta testing – 3000 for Pakistan and 5000 for India. Between December 8 and December 13, 2021, you can submit your application. This program is open to the Oppo Reno 5 Pro and Reno 5 Pro 5G, among other devices.
Oppo will update your phone within three days after the application is approved. To sign up, go to the ‘Settings’ menu, scroll down to the ‘Software Update’ section, and press ‘Apply for Beta version’ or ‘Update Beta version’.
The Oppo Reno 5 series, which debuted in January 2021, is the company’s flagship model. It’s worth noting that this is a beta version of the OS, so there will undoubtedly be errors and issues. As a result, Oppo advises backing up your phone before upgrading. It’s possible to experience lag, overheating, and battery concerns. Furthermore, several lesser-known Android apps are not yet compatible with Android 12.
