iPhone 16 Series on track; Samsung & LG start mass-producing OLEDs for it.

The new iPhone 16 is expected to launch this fall, following Apple’s usual schedule. Recent leaks reveal that Apple has started making OLED screens for these phones. Samsung and LG have both been contracted to produce OLEDs for the iPhone 16. Samsung will make screens for all four models, while LG will only make them for the Pro and Pro Max versions.

This news confirms that Apple is on track for its release timeline. Samsung making OLEDs for iPhones is nothing new, but LG’s involvement is a recent development, starting with the iPhone 15 Pro series.

The Elec, a Korean publication, reported this information. They also mentioned that there might not be many changes in the iPhone 16 OLEDs, except for possibly smaller bezels. However, there are rumors suggesting a change in screen sizes, with the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Max potentially having 6.3″ and 6.9″ displays instead of the current 6.1″ and 6.7″ sizes.
