In recent months, Samsung’s Galaxy M-series releases have slowed. However, as Samsung prepares to launch the next generation of affordable Galaxy A phones, the similarly low-cost M-series will gain traction. Another low-cost 5G phone, the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G, was shown in a public listing and product mockups.

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G was recently certified by Google, and the certification can be found in the Google Play Console database. It identifies the M23 5G’s model number as ‘SM-M236B,’ as well as the M23 5G’s main system features. And, according to a source from the popular website MySmartPrice, the phone’s specifications and press photos have just been revealed.
The typical layout and style of Samsung’s cheap Galaxy phones have been lightly tweaked here. The camera mound has softer edges and fits in well with the casing’s frosted matte appearance. The Galaxy M23 5G is available in three colors: emerald green, salmon pink, and pastel blue.
On the back of Samsung’s new M-series phone, there’s a 6.6-inch screen with a notch that extends from the top. It’s said to have a sharp and smooth 1080P 120Hz display, but it’s a TFT type LCD, which is now obsolete. Modern LCD screens have uniform viewing angles and excellent contrast, which the old TFT standard lacks.
In comparison to the previous generation, the cameras have seen a significant improvement in performance. The Galaxy M23 5G is equipped with a 50MP f/1.8 wide-angle camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). In cheap phones, true stabilization is uncommon. The triple-lens configuration is completed by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens.

The advanced camera system isn’t the only distinguishing feature. The Snapdragon 750G, a high-performance mid-range processor, is at the core of the Samsung Galaxy M23 5G. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded. The bundle is completed by a 3.5mm audio jack (a disappearing breed, especially in Samsung’s portfolio), NFC capability, and the latest Android 12 x OneUI. The beginning price is said to be somewhere between Rs. 45,000 and 49,000 PKR, according to the rumor mill.
